Longevity Nonprofit Launches NFT Collection to Raise Funds for Research on Extending the Healthy Human Lifespan
June 30, 2022, MIAMI – The Longevity Science Foundation, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to a longer and healthier human lifespan, is launching a new NFT collection focused on raising awareness and donations for the longevity field. The first NFT drop will feature longevity-themed images, followed by additional drops from other top NFT artists in the Foundation’s first NFT collection season.
The LSF strives to make longevity-focused treatments translatable to practice, with a goal of funding research to make longevity medicine more accessible to everyone. The NFT collection will act as a new donation arm to support the Foundation and the grants it provides for cutting-edge research and projects. The NFTs will have unique utility for the Foundation, functioning as a tool that allows the LSF to raise funds transparently while simultaneously providing value for donors.
Individuals who purchase LSF NFTs will receive donor-specific perks. This includes access to events with top longevity researchers, unique lectures and resources from the longevity field, and interactions with the LSF’s vast network of longevity, emerging technology and business experts on the Foundation’s advisory boards. Top contributors to the LSF will also receive NFT drops as part of their Foundation membership.
The LSF is launching the collection in partnership with Triptych, an NFT platform dedicated to fostering digital art development. Top artists from across the globe will contribute longevity-themed pieces to each of the collection’s four seasons. Funds from the NFT sales will support projects voted on by the LSF Visionary Board and donors, with all LSF donors receiving voting rights for proposal selection.
“This is a landmark launch for the Longevity Science Foundation,” said Dr. Evelyne Yehudit Bischof, head of the Foundation’s Visionary Board. “We are excited to use the power of NFTs to support our mission of advancing longevity and look forward to working closely with the rapidly expanding NFT community to do so.”
At the end of the first season, the LSF will announce an open call for multimedia artists to submit their work and help the Foundation advance the field of human longevity. The project aims to unite a hundred creators worldwide, with the curated collections running through 2022.
