Maria Corlianò

Dr. Maria Corlianò is a distinguished Italian biologist with over eight years of preclinical and clinical research experience across leading laboratories in Europe and Asia.
She began her career with a foundational BSc in Biology from the University of Milan, followed by a specialized MSc in Biomedical Sciences, during which she performed groundbreaking research at Centro Cardiologico Monzino, Europe’s premier hospital for cardiometabolic diseases.

At just 23, Dr. Corlianò was awarded the prestigious Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) by A*STAR/National University of Singapore, a highly competitive full Ph.D. scholarship for emerging scientific talent. Her doctoral research focused on the gut microbiome’s role in human health, producing impactful findings that she shared at international conferences and in scientific publications. As part of her Ph.D., Dr. Corlianò was invited to spend three months at the renowned Karolinska Institute, in Sweden, where she conducted state-of-the-art experiments with innovative germ-free animal models, providing critical evidence to advance her thesis.

Recognizing an unmet need in Southeast Asia for accessible gut health solutions, Dr. Corlianò took the entrepreneurial leap and founded OSbiome, the region’s first AI-powered precision platform dedicated to gut microbiome health. Under her leadership, OSbiome secured nearly $1 million in funding, developed advanced machine learning algorithms to enhance personalized microbiome analysis, and launched an intuitive mobile app that integrates with wearable technology, offering users real-time, personalized health insights.

Through her work with OSbiome, Dr. Corlianò realized that wellness extends beyond immediate health improvements, inspiring her to shift her focus to longevity science. Today, she leverages her scientific and entrepreneurial expertise to drive forward transformative projects in the longevity field. As a Head Scientific Analyst at the Longevity Science Foundation, Dr. Corlianò evaluates and supports high-impact projects in aging research, playing a pivotal role in the foundation's mission to accelerate the translation of longevity solutions into accessible treatments. Her scientific acumen and strategic insight help ensure that LSF funds transformative initiatives with the potential to revolutionize how we age.
