Dr. Anna Erat is a physician and researcher with an international background in medicine, public health, and leadership. She completed her medical degree at the University of Zurich Medical School and Harvard Medical School, followed by post-doctoral research in biomedicine and genetics at Harvard. She also holds a PhD in epidemiology and health systems management from the University of Basel (Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute).
In Switzerland, Dr. Erat specialized in internal and sports medicine and later served as a medical director at Klinik Hirslanden. She pursued further education at Harvard Business School and completed the INSEAD Directors Program. In parallel to her clinical work, she has been a lecturer at the University of Zurich and is currently on the faculty of the University of St. Gallen Executive School. She actively mentors master’s students and alumni from ETH Zurich.
Dr. Erat lectures at executive business schools on topics including healthy leadership and resilience, and regularly presents on planetary health, preventive medicine, and longevity at global forums such as the United Nations and the World Economic Forum. Her commentary and writing appear in scientific journals as well as media outlets like Forbes and Neue Zürcher Zeitung.
She remains involved in medical research, serves as a scientific advisor to select organizations, and continues her clinical practice, working with a wide range of patients—from those with complex medical conditions to executive leaders and elite athletes through Hintsa Performance.
