Grants

The Longevity Science Foundation funds groundbreaking efforts in healthy longevity, aiming to improve quality of life and extend years.
FOR RESEARCHERS:
At the Longevity Science Foundation, funding promising R&D is the backbone of our mission. Early-stage science remains critically underfunded: innovation stops, the number of years we live in poor health widens, and we lose the opportunity to prevent the damage aging and disease cause. By funding this science, together, we protect our futures and give new hope for longer, healthier lives.
Geroscience investigates the biological mechanisms of aging and how aging itself increases the risk for chronic and age-related diseases.
In healthcare research, billions are spent on treatment and care. Only a tiny fraction is spent on prevention and prediction. Our thesis is to prevent and predict diseases and their root causes, rather than simply alleviating symptoms.
We make a conscious effort to direct resources where they are lacking and needed the most. Our mission is to make longevity accessible for all, not just those whom healthcare has historically favored.

Chronic & Age-Related Disease Prevention

Underrepresented Populations

A study of how metabolism, diet, and molecular changes affect heart aging. The team is exploring ways to prevent or reverse age-related heart complications and heart disease while developing practical lifestyle strategies anyone can use.

University of Oxford

Portfolio

GRANT

A project developing compounds that remove damaged brain cells while protecting healthy ones to fight neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s. The team uses AI and lab testing to identify molecules that can prevent cognitive decline with a goal of significantly elongating brain health.

University of Copenhagen

GRANT

We requested research proposals exploring ovarian aging, hormonal changes, and interventions to preserve women’s overall health holistically. Submitted projects aim to develop practical solutions that address menopause while tackling related co-morbidities.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Past Grants

The HLMS is an international longevity medical society dedicated to upholding the highest standards of clinical practice and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in clinical and scientific realms. The LSF provided and continues to provide HLMS with operational and financial support.

Grant Funding & Operational Support

On March 29th, 2022, the LSF put out a funding call centering around the concept of aging clocks. Aging clocks are a valuable tool for researchers, as biomarkers can help determine an individual’s biological age based on the status of cells, tissues, and other body systems. All proposals have been reviewed and are now pending the fund allocation.

Grant CALL

On November 4th, 2022, the LSF put out the funding call inviting anyone at the forefront of the cutting-edge longevity and psychedelic fields to submit grant-funded proposals, specifically encouraging applications from researchers working on projects related to using existing or novel psychedelics to manage, delay, or reverse age-associated mental and brain diseases. All proposals have been reviewed and are now pending the fund allocation.

The importance of allocating funds for attending these conferences lies in their potential to boost our visibility and strengthen our presence within the community. The response thus far has been positive, with these engagements both yielding prospective donors and providing access to a pool of high-quality applications.
